Olean, NY — Noel Sheehy, Principal of the CA BOCES CTE Center at Olean, has been named the Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators (ACTEA) Zone 1 Administrator of the Year.
The Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators is a non-profit organization that represents the needs and interests of Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, staff and students. ACTEA also helps set standards and advocate for CTE. They identify and analyze data with the State Education Department (SED) to determine student outcomes as well as request specific action from SED.
This annual award honors exceptional leadership, dedication to Career and Technical Education, and commitment to student achievement. Throughout his more than 30-year career, Mr. Sheehy has guided over 2,600 students to graduation and championed innovative initiatives such as adventure-based learning and SkillsUSA.
