Voices of our essential partners
In our most recent stakeholder survey, we heard from over 500 participants, including employees, component districts, students, families, and community partners across our region. We undertook this work because we care deeply about the people we serve and the experiences they have with CA BOCES. Together, these responses reflect how our work is experienced across our region—through purpose in what we do, partnership in how we serve, and possibility in the opportunities we create for learners.

The survey was intentionally designed to measure a few key dimensions of our work: overall satisfaction, alignment to our mission, the strength of our customer service, and how well we live our core values of respect and innovation.
The view below organizes responses across all stakeholder groups within each of these areas, allowing us to see where experiences are consistent—and where they differ.

Quotes
Here are a few voices from stakeholders that reflect this experience:
Mission Alignment
Our mission is to enhance education in our region through shared services. Both employees and component districts report strong alignment to this mission, reflecting a shared belief that this work is being realized across the region.
District leaders express especially strong confidence in this work, reinforcing CA BOCES’ role as a trusted and essential regional partner.
Customer Satisfaction
One of our core values is to have highly satisfied customers. Across stakeholder groups, customer satisfaction is strong—particularly among students and districts, who report high levels of support and responsiveness. These results reflect the impact of CA BOCES programs and the strength of our partnerships.
Responses also suggest that experiences can vary—especially internally and in how families feel informed—pointing to opportunities to strengthen communication and coordination across the organization.
Respect
One of our core values is to treat all individuals with respect. Respect is experienced strongly by students, districts, and community partners, particularly in how individuals are treated and included. Students, in particular, report very high levels of respect and belonging from staff.
Responses from employees and families also show that experiences are not always consistent—especially in feeling valued and having input recognized—pointing to opportunities to strengthen internal culture and family engagement.
Innovation
One of our core values is to provide an environment of innovation and risk. Innovation is a clear strength of CA BOCES, especially in the experiences of students and the programs offered to districts. Students overwhelmingly report opportunities to engage in creative, hands-on learning, and districts recognize the value of programs that respond to emerging needs.
Innovation is not experienced in exactly the same way across the organization—particularly in the availability of resources for employees and in how partners experience new ideas—pointing to an opportunity to strengthen internal capacity and extend innovation more consistently across all relationships.
