Good morning and happy Friday! Today our Friday Safety Snippet was taken from NYS PESH’s and OSHA’s websites. The PESH Factsheet is a quick orientation to what PESH does as well as their three different branches: enforcement, consultation, and training. While PESH focuses on all workplace safety and health issues, in the public sector, the big focus is on “OSHA’s Fatal Four” which accounts for around 60% of all construction worker deaths and if these were eliminated, would save around 580 workers’ lives annually (2017). OSHA’s Fatal Four are: Falls, Struck-by-Object, Electrocution, and Caught-in/between objects. Be safe out there and have an enjoyable, fall weekend!
