603.001 – Certification

BOCES serves as a satellite office of the NYSED Office of Teaching, and is available to local district administrators, teachers, and community members of our component school districts. Certification Services provided by a NYSED trained, local representative include:

• Document and transcript uploades to NYS TEACH account for NYS Teacher Certification;
• Guidance on all certification regulations and changes to regulations;
• One-on-one support and certification audits;
• Evaluation of coaching license, teaching assistant certificates, and certificate progression;
• Resource for qualifying exams and education required for certification(s);
• Direct and expeditious liaison with NYSED Office of Teaching Initiatives;
• Assistance with other necessary filings and requirements for NYS Teacher certification;
• Guidance on registration and CTLE requirements;
• Step-by-step guidance for certification application processes.

615 – Recruiting Service

BOCES provides participating districts with assistance in recruitment of school personnel. CoSer 615 intends to provide a two-pronged, coordinated effort to promote available positions within our component districts and the benefits of working and living in our region. Services include cooperative external advertising in newsprint, social media, and online, as well as dedicated staff member to act as liaison with college placement offices and representatives.

615.447 – Recruiting Service – Online Application System

Participants may elect to participate in an electronic application tracking system, Frontline Recruiting and hiring, designed to attract applicants and maximize in hiring. Participation includes: ability to post district vacancies on CABOCES.org based Consortium Website; targeted exposure with postings on job search websites; and the convenience of tracking applicants from first expression of interest to submission of application, all in one web based setting.

615.452 – Recruiting Service – Advertising

Participants may request BOCES staff member to develop and send advertising in up to 74 local papers covering Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming, Erie and Monroe Counties; college job boards; online sites such as WNY Jobs, NYS Job Bank, Indeed, Handshake; social media such as Facebook and Linkedin.
