CTE helped me get to where I am today because it’s where my roots started as a nurse. I graduated the medical assisting class in 2011. After graduating, I enrolled into the practical nursing program. Some of the nurses who inspired me the most were my CA BOCES instructors! After graduating and passing my boards, I began working as a long-term care nurse in a nursing home. Then I became a pediatric nurse. I’ve worked in medical offices, and hospitals too! I have worked in many different areas of nursing. My favorite so far was my experience being a travel COVID-19 nurse. I was employed at St. Joe’s Post Acute Covid-19 Unit. My current position is as an LPN in a doctor’s office caring for patients who suffer from chronic pain. I’m not sure where my career path will lead me to but I think about how I got here this far and CTE was the start!
