At approximately 12:05 p.m. today, the Olean CTE Center was notified by our RISE Academy administration of a Lockout status due to an individual who had escaped from Olean General Hospital. This information was subsequently confirmed with the Olean Police Department.
At the recommendation of the Olean Police Department, the Olean CTE Center has entered a Lockout status as a precautionary measure.
During a Lockout, students and staff remain inside the building, and normal educational activities continue while access to the building is restricted.
We will remain in Lockout status until further direction is received from the Olean Police Department. Additional updates will be communicated as information becomes available.
The safety and security of our students and staff remain our highest priority.
