CTE Center At Belmont Update

At approximately 9:45 a.m. today, the CABOCES Belmont Center experienced an unintended activation of its digital lockdown notification system. This activation triggered the building’s PA announcements and visual alert systems, although no lockdown was initiated.

Building administration immediately responded in accordance with our Emergency Response Plan. Once the system error was identified, the building transitioned to a shelter-in-place while the system was reset and normal operations could resume.

  • There was no threat or danger to students or staff at any time.
  • Building administration followed established emergency procedures to ensure student and staff safety.
  • Normal building operations have since resumed; all systems were reset and are now fully operational.

We apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused and appreciate the cooperation of our students and staff throughout the incident.
