Instructional Support Services
Instructional Support Services is made up of over twenty-five different cooperative services that are organized into three main categories: Learning Resources led by Amy Windus, Professional Development led by Tim Clarke, and Student Programming led by Mary Morris. Our mission is to support the educational community of Cattaraugus and Allegany counties by arming all learners with the most current educational resources and contemporary pedagogical understanding so all learners will be competitive in a connected, global, economic, and cultural society. Learning Resources
Students and teachers have access to thousands of high quality resources through Learning Resources COSER’s. Search our database for science kits, digital and media resources, books curriculum resources, and other physical classroom resources. Insignia provides students and teachers with 24/7 access to all our media resources. Our Distance and Online Learning team is a thought leader in New York State in bringing hundreds of courses to students in our region. From lamination services to star labs, and Environmental Education to virtual field trips, our Learning Resources Team is ready to assist. Our Professional Development team proudly offers hundreds of annual professional development sessions with regional classroom teachers and educational leaders. Student Programming
Our Student Programming department works to being meaningful experiences to students in our region that include: Itinerant Teacher Services, County Government Student Intern Program, Driver’s Education, and Regional Academic Summer School. The Exploratory Enrichment and Arts In Education Programs bring culture and arts alive in learning with events like the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, live theater productions, and extra curricular events that include student tournaments in First Lego League, VEX Robotics, Scholastic Challenge, and Odyssey Of The Mind.
