Staff at the Career and Technical Education Center at Ellicottville joined with the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services in wearing blue on Wednesday, April 5, for Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Local child advocacy groups from across the nation are sponsoring Go Blue Day events to help raise awareness of child abuse. On these days, people are encouraged to wear blue, the color representing child abuse awareness and prevention. Blue also represents the bruises the child often suffers.
A staff member at the Center said, "Thank you for inviting us to join in this great cause!"
