4 Ellicottville CTE Students Place at 2018 Skills USA Regionals

On Tuesday, March 6, New York State Skills USA held its 2018 Area 1 Conference and Competitions at both campuses of Alfred State College.  The Skills USA Chapter at the Career and Technical Education Center at Ellicottville sent 40 students to either compete, assist in a competition, or serve as a delegate to help elect the Area 1 Vice President.  Many of the students remarked on how much fun they had competing and getting to know their peers from CTE Centers all across Western New York.

We are very proud to announce four of our students placed in their competitions:

  • First Place Cosmetology Jr. - Hannah Cassoni, Cattaraugus-Little Valley
  • First Place Early Childhood - Katherine Mitchell, Cattaraugus-Little Valley
  • Second Place Power Equipment - Samuel Kellogg, Franklinville
  • Third Place Early Childhood - Raelyn Clark, Allegany-Limestone

Congratulations to all of you!

We look forward to the New York State Conference and Competitions, which will take place April 25-27 in Syracuse.
