120+ Pass TASC Exam to Earn HSE Diploma

During the 2016-2017 school year, Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES graduated more than 120 examinees who all passed the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), which replaced the GED examination in New York State.  These students come from CA BOCES instructional program locations in: Angelica, Arcade, Belmont, Belmont CTE, Cattaraugus, Cuba Big Picture, Delevan, Ellicottville CTE, Ellicottville Big Picture, Olean, Salamanca, Wellsville, and four other now closed locations.  Examinees from other programs -- Job Corps, Olean City Schools, Southern Tier Travelling Teachers, Seneca Nation Employment and Training, and other literacy programs -- are also able to test at the CA BOCES TASC Testing Center in Olean.  Examinees 19 years and older are able to sign themselves up if they feel they are ready to test.

  • Cattaraugus Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-7 p.m.
  • Delevan Library, Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-8 p.m.
  • Fillmore Wide Awake Club Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-7 p.m.
  • Olean Christ United Methodist Church, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 12 noon
  • Salamanca Library, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Wellsville David Howe Library, Mondays and Thursdays, 5-8 p.m.
